Athletots Sports Preschool Yearly Celebration Program

At Athletots Sports Preschool, we believe in fostering a sense of national pride, global awareness, sportsmanship, and environmental consciousness through fun, engaging celebrations. These yearly events are integrated into our curriculum to inspire children and promote holistic development.

1. Independence Day (August 15th)

Purpose: Instill patriotism and the value of freedom.

Activities

  • Flag hoisting ceremony.
  • Children wear traditional attire representing different states of India.
  • Singing the national anthem and patriotic songs.
  • Creative sessions like making tricolor crafts and art.
  • Role-playing freedom fighters and enacting important moments in history.

2. Republic Day (January 26th)

Purpose: Teach the values of the Constitution and democracy.

Activities

  • Mini parade led by children.
  • Dress up as national leaders.
  • Understanding basic rights and responsibilities through storytelling.
  • National flag craft and creative classroom activities.

3. National Sports Day (August 29th)

Purpose: Promote sports literacy and physical fitness.

Activities

  • Organizing mini-competitions in various sports.
  • Learning about famous Indian athletes.
  • Award ceremony for best performers.
  • Parent-child sports relay.
  • Sportsmanship and team-building exercises.

4. Olympic Day (June 23rd)

Purpose: Celebrate global unity through sports.

Activities

  • Athletots Mini-Olympics featuring simplified versions of athletics, swimming, and team sports.
  • Children learn about the Olympic values of friendship, excellence, and respect.
  • Flag march representing various countries.
  • Olympic-themed games like ring toss and hurdle races.

5. Environmental Day (June 5th)

Purpose: Encourage environmental awareness and love for nature.

Activities

  • Nature walk and tree-planting activity.
  • Learning about tree names and their importance in the ecosystem.
  • Creative recycled craft-making.
  • "Adopt a plant" initiative where children take care of a plant for the year.
  • Educational videos on environmental conservation.

6. Democracy Day & Voting (September 15th)

Purpose: Teach children about the importance of democracy and making choices.

Activities

  • Simulated voting activity where children vote for fun topics (e.g., favorite snack or activity).
  • Role-playing exercises where children act as leaders and citizens.
  • Discussions on fairness, equality, and decision-making.
  • Storytime about how voting works in India.

7. Culture Exchange and Sharing Day (December 10th)

Purpose: Celebrate diversity and learn about different cultures.

Activities

  • Children and parents bring food from their culture to share.
  • Cultural performances showcasing music, dance, and traditions from around the world.
  • Storytime about different countries and their customs.
  • Art and craft activities inspired by global traditions.
  • Interactive games to explore different languages and symbols.

Each celebration will be carefully planned to ensure active participation, learning, and fun for all children, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging environment. Parents are encouraged to participate in certain events and witness their child’s growth.
